1. Estimation, Surveys & Volumetric Quotations
All pricing values generated online via our lead calculation forms serve as raw exploratory estimates. Final binding contracts are subject to the following rules:
- Inventory Accuracy: Quotations are calculated strictly based on the specific cargo list you provide. If the actual load volume on moving day exceeds the recorded inventory file, proportional surcharges will be applied instantly.
- Structural Access Variables: Hidden handling difficulties (such as broken elevators, long walking distances exceeding 50 feet from the truck parking bay, or narrow stairs) must be declared upfront. Failure to declare these allows our terminal crew to add handling convenience charges.
2. User Obligations & Prohibited Consignments
As the legal owner or authorized custodian of the shifting assets, you must strictly ensure that no hazardous or illegal substances are introduced into our container transport vehicles.
Strict Packing Bans: We absolutely refuse to pack, load, or transport highly hazardous items including liquid propane tanks, loose fuel containers, chemicals, loose firecrackers, or perishable food items.
Additionally, items of high financial or personal value—including physical cash packs, gold jewelry pieces, asset deeds, stocks, or high-end smart devices—must remain in your personal custody. ALFA Packers Movers will not assume liability for uninventoried luxury compact assets.
3. Transit Schedules, Delays & Force Majeure
While our booking desks provide target delivery timeline estimates, transit speeds are subject to unexpected real-world infrastructure variables:
- Force Majeure Failures: ALFA Packers Movers will not be held financially liable for cargo arrival delays caused directly by unexpected extreme weather patterns, flash flooding, state border check-post blockades, national transport strikes, or highway path re-routing.
- Delivery Gatekeepers: It is your responsibility to acquire necessary entry passes, society apartment management permissions, and parking NOC clearance documents at both the pickup origin and destination drop coordinates before the moving truck arrives.
4. Transit Insurance & Claims Settlement Rules
To establish secure full-value protection for your belongings, comprehensive transit insurance conditions are enforced:
- The 48-Hour Claim Window: Any physical item damage or missing cargo discrepancies must be formally registered with our tracking desk within 48 hours of shipment unloading. Claims filed outside this window are legally void.
- Internal Mechanical Exception: We assume structural accountability only for external physical box damage caused by shifting or dropped loads. We do not cover internal electronic or mechanical component failures of TVs, fridges, or washing machines if there is no visible external damage to the packing box.
5. Payments, Cancellations & Rescheduling
Our business allocation schedules run on strict, high-density vehicle operational metrics:
- Payment Structure: Shifting operations require a 10% advance booking deposit upon order confirmation, a 70% loading release clear payment when the truck leaves the origin location, and the remaining 20% balance clear before vehicle doors unlock at the destination.
- Cancellation Penalties: Bookings cancelled more than 48 hours before the move receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations made within 24 to 48 hours incur a 50% deposit forfeiture penalty. Cancellations within 24 hours of the move result in a 100% deposit forfeiture.
